Electrical Design Engineer (Control Panels)
£30000 - £40000 per annum + Benefits Pac
Berry Recruitment are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with vast knowledge in Control Panels.
Our client offers a range of services including design, manufacturing, installation, construction and commissioning. Their in-house design and offsite manufacturing teams’ work closely to develop technology based solutions with a strong focus on innovation and value engineering.
Their in-house multi-disciplinary services include civil, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation, supplemented by the design and manufacture of Control Panels, MCC’s, PLC’s, SCADA and automation systems. They also provide a range of bespoke modular and containerised water & wastewater treatment and fuel conditioning systems.
They have over 800 employees and with a healthy forward order book with a projected turnover of £180m this year, it is an exciting time to join the business.
They currently have an immediate requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer with a background in panels to join their Head Office team.
Pre-Contract Site Surveys
Equipment Selection and Purchasing
Design of Control Panel Schematic Diagrams and General Arrangements from User Requirement Specifications and Control Philosophies
Production of documentation packages for our workshop operatives
Production of Operation and Maintenance Manuals
Onsite Fault Finding and Modification of Electrical Control Systems
Creation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports and other paperwork
Skills / Background;
A background of working as an Electrical Controls Design Engineer preferably with experience in the Water industry, though not essential
Good understanding of BSEN 61439 LV Directive
Able to work alone or as part of a team
Experienced Autocad user (ability to use Promis-e would be advantageous but not essential as training can be given)
Client facing with excellent interpersonal skills
Hard working and self-motivated
Either relevant engineering qualification or by experience
