Berry Recruitment are working with a brilliant client in Plymouth looking for a Driver Technician to carry out deliveries, collections, repairs, servicing and testing of commuting equipment.



Duties include:




  • Undertake pre-delivery inspection of all products and undertake the delivery and handover of community equipment to users at their home and/or other locations

  • Ensure products have been scanned into the home and scanner synchronised on return to the service centre in accordance with company procedure

  • Carry out collection of community equipment, and on return to the service centre ensure equipment is scanned to the quarantine area.

  • Undertake repairs when required to do so. If unable to repair, the product has to be swapped. User safety is paramount at all times.

  • Install equipment as required and in line with company procedures

  • Emergency out-of-hours – When on call rota, responsible for responding to the 24/7 call centre to undertake an emergency repair or delivery.

  • Be responsible for vehicle and maintenance ensuring regular checks are carried out and ensure vehicle is kept clean at all times.

  • Effectively communicate any problems with installations or equipment with supervisors when required



£10.00per hour


Increasing to £15.00 per hour for anything over 40 hours



Driver Tech’s are required to undertaken one week on call on a rolling 5 week schedule in case of out of hours emergencies, receiving an additional £60 per week when on call with additional hourly rate for any work they may need to do.



Skills:



  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be able to work as part of a team.

  • Map reading skills with good attention to detail.

  • Good DIY skills.



Must hold a current full UK Driving Licence
