My client are a Plastic Moulding Company that have been trading for many years and continue to go from strength to strength as the business grows, they have a great work ethic and are a 24hr operation.

They are currently looking for a Charge hand to help ensure that the production of the produce runs smoothly and effectively as they continue to produce top class produce for the European market.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the plastic moulding industry and have some good experience at this level so that they can hit the ground running.

Duties will include :-

  • Responsible for up to 9 workers during a 12 hour Day or night shift that falls

  • Responsible for breaks and that they are taken in a timely manner either with assistance of floating staff, doubling up or stopping machines to relieve labour

  • Responsible for colour changing, version changing of packaging variants and production control with very simple visual counting techniques

  • Knowledge of starting / stopping injection moulding machines and robots for labour issues breaks etc

  • Overall responsibility that production standard is being achieved in all areas by carrying out two hourly checks, i.e packaging, colour, labelling

  • Potentially isolating any defective product should the circumstance occur

  • Fork lift truck driving, moving pallets, materials and replenishing production materials

  • Organising and preparing for changes throughout shift,

    Potentially Very basic use of PC

  • Ensure a hand of is completed for the person coming on to shift next
