We're hiring a Telecare Installation Technician for a well-established client in Oxfordshire!



  • Position: Telecare Installation Technician

  • Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire

  • Salary: £26,499

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

  • Job Type: Temporary




Job Overview


We are looking for a reliable and practical Installation Technician to join our team in Oxfordshire. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecare equipment to support vulnerable individuals in the community.


You’ll play a key role in ensuring service users feel safe and supported by delivering high-quality installations and responsive maintenance services.




Key Responsibilities


Installation & Collection




  • Install telecare equipment in line with assessments and documentation




  • Decommission and collect equipment when services are no longer required




  • Respond to emergency call-outs and planned maintenance visits




Repairs & Maintenance




  • Diagnose and repair telecare equipment in line with service standards




  • Reprogram devices according to manufacturer procedures




Stock & Equipment




  • Maintain van stock levels to ensure efficient service delivery




  • Take responsibility for tools and report any issues promptly




Administration




  • Accurately record all installations, collections, and repairs using a mobile device or scanner




  • Obtain required customer signatures and submit paperwork in line with company procedures




Communication




  • Report any issues or concerns to your supervisor or manager




  • Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with service users and colleagues




Additional Duties




  • Support warehouse operations when required




  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines






Key Skills & Experience




  • Experience working with elderly or vulnerable individuals (preferred)




  • Strong communication and customer service skills




  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team




  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills




  • Practical or mechanical aptitude




Knowledge of telecare equipment is desirable but full training will be provided.




Requirements




  • GCSEs (or equivalent)




  • Full UK driving licence




  • Right to work in the UK




  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check (Standard or Enhanced)




  • Flexible, positive, and proactive attitude
