About the Role


We are recruiting reliable and confident SIA Security Officers to work at Hastings Railway Station. This is a frontline role focused on maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for passengers and staff. You’ll work as part of a dedicated on‑site team, dealing with fare evasion, managing antisocial behaviour, and ensuring all incidents are logged and reported accurately.


Key Responsibilities



  • Monitor passenger activity and challenge fare evaders professionally and safely

  • Address and de-escalate antisocial behaviour on station premises

  • Provide a visible security presence to deter unwanted behaviour

  • Log all incidents, interventions, and issues in line with reporting procedures

  • Work closely with colleagues, station staff, and rail partners

  • Support the safety and wellbeing of passengers and staff

  • Follow all safety, security, and operational protocols


What We’re Looking For



  • Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor)

  • Strong communication and conflict‑management skills

  • Ability to remain calm, assertive, and professional in challenging situations

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Willingness to support weekend shifts when the team needs it.


Shift Pattern & Pay



  • Core shift: 13:30–21:30

  • Pay:


    • £13 per hour (Monday–Saturday)

    • £15 per hour (Sundays only)
