Regional Paraplanning Manager required for this well respected financial services organisation based in St Albans.


As the manager you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, technical quality, governance and performance for the firms paraplanning function. Overseeing and supporting a team of financial advisors you will possess significant experience of managing a team be appropriate qualified. You will ensure that advice support is technically robust, compliant, scalable, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities and Role Requirements Strategic Leadership & Operating Model


• Proven experience owning and developing a firm-wide paraplanning operating model


• Ability to provide senior leadership and direction to regional Pod Leaders


• Experience acting as a senior escalation point for paraplanning-related matters


• Demonstrated experience managing paraplanning teams both remotely and face-to-face Performance Management & Oversight


• Experience developing and managing paraplanning KPIs and management information (MI), using CRM systems


• Ability to monitor capacity, efficiency, turnaround times, and risk indicators across multiple teams


• Strong reporting capability, with experience delivering insight to senior management Technical & Regulatory Governance


• Extensive senior-level technical oversight experience within paraplanning


• Strong understanding of high-risk advice areas and complex case management


• Ability to ensure processes, templates, and technical guidance remain compliant, robust, and up to date


• Demonstrable regulatory awareness and risk management capability People Leadership & Development


• Experience leading, coaching, and appraising senior team members or team leaders


• Proven track record of overseeing onboarding, training, and technical development of paraplanners


• Experience supporting succession planning and capability development initiatives


• Strong coaching and mentoring skills Change Management & Continuous Improvement


• Experience leading change initiatives and process improvement within a paraplanning function • Ability to support implementation of regulatory, legislative, and operational changes


• Commitment to driving consistency, scalability, and best practice across regional teams Risk & Escalation Management


• Experience handling senior escalations, quality concerns, and potential complaints


• Ability to manage risk appropriately and escalate issues where required Technical Capability


• Strong technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning


• Ability to undertake complex paraplanning cases when required (e.g., for training, technical oversight, or capacity management) Skills & Experience


• Extensive paraplanning experience


• Minimum 10 years’ team management experience


• Senior leadership and stakeholder management capability


• Data-driven approach to performance management


Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (RO1–RO6) ideally Chartered status
