Job Title: Project Supervisor


Location: WA16 9EU
Working Hours: [Days to be agreed with advanced notice]


Role Purpose:


The Project Supervisor will act as the principal on-site liaison between the client Projects and all appointed contractors, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of infrastructure and facilities projects at the site. This role is critical to maintaining project momentum, upholding health and safety standards, and ensuring seamless communication and coordination across all stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:



  1. Project Supervision & Coordination



  • Serve as the on-site representative for Projects, overseeing day-to-day contractor activities.

  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with project scope, programme, and quality expectations.

  • Coordinate site logistics, access, and sequencing to minimise disruption to live environments.

  • Monitor progress and proactively escalate risks, delays, or deviations to the Projects team.




  1. Health, Safety & Compliance



  • Ensure all works comply with HSG47 Units 1 and 2 guidance, particularly around safe excavation and service avoidance.

  • Enforce site-specific health and safety protocols and ensure contractor adherence.

  • Conduct or support site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.

  • Intervene where unsafe practices are observed and ensure corrective actions are taken.




  1. Stakeholder Liaison



  • Act as the key point of contact between Projects and all appointed contractors.

  • Facilitate regular site coordination meetings and ensure accurate documentation of actions and decisions.

  • Provide clear, timely updates to the Projects team on progress, issues, and changes.

  • Support collaborative working relationships between the company, contractors, and other stakeholders.



  1. Documentation & Reporting



  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including permits, RAMS, daily logs, and photographic evidence.

  • Review and validate contractor documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.

  • Support the collation of project close-out documentation and lessons learned.




  1. Quality Assurance



  • Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

  • Identify and report any non-conformance's or quality issues, and support resolution.

  • Ensure that all works are completed to a high standard and in line with client expectations.


Essential Qualifications & Certifications:



  • CSCS card (appropriate to role and responsibilities)

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

  • HSG47 Units 1 and 2 (Understanding and Managing the Risks of Underground Services)

  • Proven experience supervising construction or infrastructure projects, ideally within live operational environments

  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and safe systems of work


Desirable Qualifications & Experience:



  • First Aid at Work certification

  • Experience working within secure or critical environments (e.g., data centres, financial institutions)

  • Familiarity with operations
