Poultry Operative

Berry Recruitment are working with a Poultry Operative role in the South Molton area.

As a Poultry Operative we are looking for someone willing to work on an ongoing temporary contract. The hours are Monday to Friday 07:00am till 15:00pm. 40 hours per week.

Hourly rate is £13.00 p/h.

As a Poultry Operative your job role includes.

• Egg packing using our automated equipment


• Supervising feed times & picking eggs from the floor (10-15 mins inside the poultry house each time)


• Ensuring welfare of the birds is our paramount responsibility, which means that you would need to be ‘comfortable’ with the idea of culling animals that have fallen sick


• Weighing animals by hand once or twice a week (30 mins inside the poultry house each time)

You need to not be in contact with birds outside of work (this usually means pets at home or shooting any avian species).

Due to the location of this role you will need your own transport.
