Potato Grader Supervisor Role:


Based in the Norfolk area; initially starting Thetford moving later in the season to Syderstone.


Seasonal Role - July to End of November


Working Hours - 6 days per week with 7am starts.


Pay Rate £13.71 per hour plus £1 an hour more overtime rate.



Berry recruitment is currently seeking a Potato Grader Supervisor to support the upcoming harvest season. This is a hands on supervisory role - ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and team management skills.



Main responsibilities:



  • Oversee the operation of a stationary potato grading machine (this will be relocated around Norfolk around 3 times during the season - will start Thetford, then Watton and potentially Syderstone)

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of grading staff; ensuring a continual workflow and thus managing breaks effectively.

  • Liaise with the farm management regarding incoming loads and scheduled deliveries.

  • Complete accurate paperwork for the receipt and dispatch of potatoes to various factories.

  • Ensure quality control standards are met and no foreign objects get though during the grading process.



Requirements:



  • Must be available July to November (end) including working Saturday and/or Sunday (working 6 days a week)

  • Usual start times 7am - flexibility around work days will be needed.

  • Own transport advantageous due to varying locations across Norfolk

  • Must be capable of completing documentation accurately and efficiently.
