My client is seeking an accomplished People Service Manager on a 6 months Contract. Homebased role with occiasional travel to Watford.


Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm **The successful candidate MUST be in post by 8th September for induction and handover** Please review full JD under the document tab We are looking for an experienced HR professional (ideally within the social care sector) who can build strong relationships quickly and operate at both a strategic and hands-on level to manage and deliver an organisational wide first point of contact Human Resources service. You'll need to be CIPD qualified L5 (or equivalent). Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills are essential, along with strong understanding and knowledge of employment law and confidence in influencing senior stakeholders. You’ll be responsible and accountable for: - Ensuring the delivery of an effectively managed HR service that is cost effective and business focused solutions. - Manage a team of (13) People Partners and People Advisers applying their policies and procedures. - Provide advice and guidance to the team, management and staff with complex issues to seek a satisfactory resolution. - Lead on highly complex employee relations cases. - Provide advice and guidance to the team, management and staff with complex issues - Utilise professional expertise and knowledge to develop the team, structures and systems - Work collaboratively with People Directorate colleagues to enhance knowledge and understanding of their policies and procedures - Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and other stakeholders - Ensure HR system data is managed and compliant with GDPR requirements Essential Skills & Experience: - Social Care HR background, with experience across both operational and strategic areas - Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR compliance - Confident communicator, able to challenge and influence at all levels - Proven ability to manage change programmes and TUPE/restructures - Expert knowledge of employee relations and best practice case management - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment - Strong people leadership and coaching skills
