Paint Sprayer / Warehouse Operative
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent / Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday (8am - 5pm)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and hands-on Paint Sprayer / Warehouse Operative to join their team in Oxford.
This is a varied role combining industrial paint spraying, preparation and finishing with general warehouse and production duties. The successful candidate will be practical, hardworking and able to work to a high standard while following health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing components and surfaces for painting, including cleaning, masking and preparation.
- Applying industrial paint/coatings using spray-painting equipment.
- Ensuring painted components meet the required quality and finish standards.
- Checking finished products for defects and carrying out any necessary touch-ups.
- Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment and the working area.
- Handling and moving materials and components safely around the warehouse.
- Loading and unloading deliveries where required.
- Picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Maintaining accurate stock and warehouse records.
- Keeping the warehouse and production areas clean, organised and safe.
- Following company health & safety procedures and wearing the appropriate PPE.
- Supporting other warehouse and production activities as required.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in paint spraying, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Have good attention to detail and take pride in producing a quality finish.
- Be comfortable carrying out physical warehouse duties.
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to get stuck in.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have a good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Be willing to learn new processes and equipment.
Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is advantageous.
