HYBRID Head of Marketing Role - must have a retail marketing background
We are looking for a Head of Marketing on a part time basis to lead our client's function while championing their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. The client is happy for you to work any combination of days and hours to complete your 25 hours per week but must commit to one day in the office each week at their St Albans site.
This role combines commercial marketing leadership with the development and promotion of initiatives that create positive social, environmental, and community impact. The successful candidate will shape brand strategy, drive growth, and ensure our marketing activities authentically communicate our organisation’s values, sustainability commitments, and social impact.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership
• Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
• Lead brand positioning, messaging, and market presence across all channels.
• Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee campaigns across digital, content, PR, partnerships, and events.
• Monitor marketing performance metrics and optimise campaigns based on data and insights.
• Manage marketing budgets.
Brand & Communications
• Protect and strengthen the organisation’s brand reputation and public image.
• Lead integrated communication strategies across internal and external channels.
• Ensure brand messaging reflects company values, purpose, and long-term vision.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
• Develop and implement a CSR marketing strategy that aligns with company purpose and ESG commitments.
• Promote sustainability, ethical practices, and social impact initiatives through marketing channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate CSR into brand storytelling and campaigns.
• Lead communication of CSR initiatives to stakeholders, customers, and the wider community.
• Build partnerships with charities, community organisations, and social enterprises.
• Track and report on CSR impact and communicate outcomes transparently.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with executive leadership to align marketing and CSR strategy with business objectives.
• Build relationships with partners, media, and community stakeholders.

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role (Head of Marketing, Marketing Director, or similar).
• Strong experience developing integrated marketing strategies.
• Demonstrated understanding or experience in CSR, ESG, sustainability, or purpose-led marketing.
• Strong brand management and storytelling capabilities.
• Experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Data-driven approach to marketing strategy and performance tracking.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
