Are you a skilled and qualified LGV Mechanic looking for a rewarding opportunity? Our client in Harlow are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an LGV Mechanic, responsible for maintaining and servicing our fleet of vehicles.


This is a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate paying £18.84 per hour whilst temporary.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs on LGVs in a timely manner, meeting specified deadlines and industry standards.

  • Prepare vehicles for annual MOT tests and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical defects, particularly focusing on electrical, hydraulic, and system components.

  • Provide roadside assistance when necessary to ensure fleet efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate records of service and repair activities.


Required Qualifications and Skills:



  • Level 3 qualification in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in LGV maintenance.

  • Valid UK driving licence.

  • Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, with hands-on experience in repairs and fitting.


Desirable Skills:



  • Familiarity with electrical fault-finding techniques.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
