Temporary General Assistant (Catering Assistant / Kitchen Porter)

Camborne, Cornwall
£12.71 per hour
15th - 17th September
8:30am - 2:30pm

We're looking for a General Assistant to support a busy office canteen in Camborne for a short-term assignment.

This hands-on role combines Catering Assistant and Kitchen Porter duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy catering environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Duties will include:

• Assisting with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing straightforward food items.


• Serving food and beverages over the counter.


• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.


• Washing dishes, utensils and catering equipment.


• Supporting stock management and replenishment.


• Following all Health & Safety, food hygiene and allergen regulations.

What we're looking for:

• Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).


• Previous catering, hospitality or kitchen experience preferred.


• Excellent customer service skills.


• Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.


• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.


• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
