Berry recruitment is actively seeking a Farm Fork Lift Truck Driver for a temp to permanent role for the right candidate.


Weekly working hours:


Monday to Friday - 39 hours a week minimum; seasonal requirements will mean overtime available during harvesting time in particular. Weekend work at these busy times will also be required for overtime also.


Job Role:


You will be operating fork lifts and telehandlers and occasionally driving tractors to enable you to carry out your role. As the FLT driver on site you will also have responsibility for the safe running of the yard and machinery. There are 2 yards that you may operate from.


Job Description:



  • Uphold site H & S and any inductions for new people on site

  • Tractor driving will be required at times to ensure smooth operation of the farm and delivery of orders.

  • FLT loading and unloading lorries, stores and dealing with contractors and hauliers.

  • Stores must be well labelled to ensure easy stock take and review.

  • Grading of the crops will need to be overseen covering what is being placed into stores and taken out.

  • Accurate paperwork to be completed to ensure that goods in and out with the crops is well documented

  • Manage any yard maintenance and the storage boxes.

  • Working outside in all weathers and stores for the crops

  • Apps used (IT) and will be trained


Must Have:



  • Fork lift and Telehandler certificates essential for this role

  • Farm experience is desirable but not essential

  • Tractor Driving - need relevant licence on your driving licence

  • Valid Driving Licence with <=6 points
