Berry Recruitment is gearing up for major AI data centre projects and we’re looking to line up experienced Fibre Splicers ready to go when the contracts land.

Heads up: We’re building our go-to team now so we can move fast when our clients give us the ‘green light’ to proceed.

The Money

£200–£400 per day

The Work

This is proper fibre work in AI and high-performance data centres — clean environments, high standards, no rushed FTTH installs.

You’ll be:

• Cutting and cleaving fibres


• Fusion splicing (single fibre & ribbon fibre)


• Carrying out fibre terminations


• Testing with OTDRs and power meters


• Troubleshooting when things don’t look right

Precision matters here.

What you need

• At least 1 year’s experience fibre splicing / splicing


• City & Guilds in Optical Cabling & Splicing


• ETA or BICSI Fibre Optic Technician qualification


• Steady hands, good eyesight, and real attention to detail

You must be confident using

• Precision cleavers


• Fusion splicers


• Fibre microscopes


• OTDRs & power meters
