We are now recruiting for an EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Administrator to join this growing team.
Role: EHS Administrator
Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire (Parking available)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum
Monday – Friday – 09:00 – 17:00
As an EHS Administrator, you will provide support to the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team across multiple sites. Your role will involve ensuring that all EHS-related policies, procedures, and activities are adhered to, promoting a safe working environment, and assisting in compliance with local and national legislation. You will help in building and developing best practices and assisting with inspections, documentation and training.
Key Responsibilities of the EHS Administrator:
- Maintain up-to-date records of safety audits, incident reports, risk assessments, and safety training across all sites.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of EHS documentation such as safety manuals, procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Assist in the creation of EHS reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Support the compliance of all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations across multiple sites.
- Assist in conducting EHS audits, inspections, and reviews to identify risks and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents.
- Ensure that risk assessments are updated following any incidents or changes in operations.
- Prepare and distribute internal communications related to EHS updates, incidents, or regulatory changes.
- Work with site teams to resolve EHS-related issues and provide guidance when necessary.
- Support the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans and procedures.
- Assist in the coordination of first aid and emergency response teams and procedures across all sites.
- Ensure environmental monitoring and reporting is conducted in line with legal and company requirements.
- Support the identification and implementation of energy-saving initiatives, waste management programs, and other sustainability efforts.
About you:
- A good understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience within Health and Safety
- Pharmaceutical/Laboratory experience
- Experience of setting up and managing software systems
