Description:
Our client a bespoke furniture and home furnishings retailer are expanding their delivery and driving team and have current vacancies for Porters and driver mates.
The position involves assisting the driver with the loading of lorries and the safe delivery and installation of furnishings into customer homes.
Pay rates £13.50ph
Hours of work are 06.00-06.30 start and normally a 8 hour working day from Tuesday to Saturday. You will be working every Saturday with Sunday and Monday off.
Overtime after 40 working hrs at time and a half.
Work is customer facing where you will be going into customers homes to install furniture , a good appearance and self presentation are essential as well as good levels of communication both verbal and written required.
The work will involve continuous manual handling and is physically demanding, including loading vehicles and carrying heavy and valuable goods into clients homes. As well as the assembly of furniture.
You will be expected to follow all company health and safety guidelines.
Previous portering/driver mate experience would be an advantage.
Due to the role being customer facing you will be required to complete a DBS check.
This is a temp to perm position with an annual salary of £29,000
