Class 1 Tramper Driver


Location: Sizewell / Ipswich, Suffolk , IP16
Position: Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Driver
Contract: Temporary Ongoing, with potential for permanent employment
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Start Times: Early starts
Pay: £19.05 per hour PAYE + £50 night-out allowance per night


The Role


We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers to join a busy transport operation based in Sizewell, Suffolk.


The successful drivers will be responsible for collecting clean water from a site in Sizewell before transporting and distributing it to locations across Suffolk and Norfolk.


This is a Monday to Friday tramper position, with early starts and regular nights out in the vehicle.


Key Responsibilities



  • Driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and professionally

  • Collecting clean water from a site in Sizewell

  • Transporting and distributing clean water to locations across Suffolk and Norfolk

  • Completing collections and deliveries safely and efficiently

  • Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects

  • Completing all required delivery and collection paperwork

  • Complying with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and relevant transport legislation

  • Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism

  • Staying away overnight in the truck as required


Requirements



  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence

  • Valid Driver CPC

  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card

  • Previous Class 1 driving experience

  • Tramper experience preferred

  • Comfortable with early starts and overnight stays

  • Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations

  • Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
