Business Development Manager – Manufacturing Sector Location: Standard Way, Fareham Salary: £30,000–£35,000 base, with a realistic OTE of £45,000 Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a dynamic and forward-thinking manufacturing company for a Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives. This role has a strong emphasis on acquiring new business, with an estimated 80% focus on new client acquisition and 20% on existing account management.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the manufacturing and industrial sectors
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential clients to understand their operational requirements
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to deliver tailored client solutions
Maintain and develop a select portfolio of existing accounts to ensure continued satisfaction and growth
Consistently achieve sales targets and performance KPIs
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments
Demonstrated success in business development and lead generation
Commercially astute with strong negotiation and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage a sales pipeline effectively
Collaborative mindset with a drive to deliver results
