Transport Administrator
Location: Clacton
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00–15:00
Start Date: Immediate Start

Berry Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client based in Clacton for an experienced and organised Transport Administrator to join their team on an immediate basis.

The Role
As a Transport Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day transport operation, working closely with the management team, drivers and loaders to ensure deliveries are scheduled and managed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular communication with the management team and transport operatives, including drivers and loaders.
- Deal professionally and efficiently with general customer enquiries.
- Assist with scheduling deliveries in line with customer requirements.
- Coordinate information between customers, management and operational teams.
- Complete general office administration, including filing and data input.
- Monitor and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure relevant information is updated accordingly.
- Provide general administrative support to the transport and management teams.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment to ensure the smooth running of daily transport operations.
About You
The successful candidate will be:
- Organised, reliable and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Professional, polite and courteous when dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organised with excellent time-management skills.
- An excellent verbal and written communicator.
- Comfortable communicating with drivers, loaders, management and customers.
- IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Flexible and willing to learn, with a positive and proactive approach to work.
