Description:
We are actively seeking a Groundwork and Excavator Operator role in the St Albans area. This is a permanent role for a non construction organisation. The hours change due to the season
Nov - Feb 40 hours per week
Mar - Oct 45 hours per week
Monday to Friday with plenty of overtime opportunity.
The main duties are to do excavation, trenching, ground profiling and levelling. You will install foundations and drainage. You will do concrete works, including shuttering, formwork and finishing. You will use hand tools and small plant safely and operate a range of plant and machinery (360, Dumper, Telehandler, Roller).
Basic maintenance checks and general labouring duties.
You will have a valid 360 excavator qualification (NPORS/CPCS) including lifting operations.
Valid UK licence and ability to interpret technical drawings and site plans.
The basic salary is £36000 - £42000 plus overtime opportunity

The opportunity to take HGV licence (C1/C2 categories)
Due to the nature of the work an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken.
