Berry Recruitment has expanded its operations into Wellingborough in a strategic move to widen its East Midlands’ catchment area.

With demand for its services expected to rise as lockdown eases, the team wanted to be ready to take advantage.

It was previously based in Northampton, which it still serves, but now has improved.

The branch’s driving, industrial and construction departments are already seeing an upturn as businesses increase their operations.

Berry Recruitment’s regional manager Rachel Murphy said: “The expansion into Wellingborough made sense in many ways.

“We have room for expansion, can access the A14 corridor more easily and we are better placed to serve businesses in new locations.

“Other roles we provide staff for include those in office, professional and catering sectors, which are picking up but more slowly.

“Our branch has a reservoir of temporary workers ready to be deployed, and we are able to react quickly to our clients’ needs.

“One area we have seen interest in is ‘Covid chaperones’ – people who are able to manage queues and enforce social-distancing with a smile.

“We are part of a family-owned group and are able to call on assistance and expertise from other branches, which gives us a huge advantage.”

Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) works from nearly 40 locations across England and Wales and last year achieved a turnover of more than £74m.
