Our King’s Lynn and Midlands teams were proud to support the European Athletics Championships this month, providing over 100 cleaners per day to the bi-annual event.
This was the first year that the Championships were held in Great Britain, with over 50 countries competing. The event had sold-out crowds of up to 23,000 attendees over 7 days of competition and 15 athletic sessions, all held at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham; once the stage for the Commonwealth Games.
We supplied both cleaners and cleaning supervisors for all areas of the stadium, including the warm-up and athlete areas, live broadcasting and media areas, and hospitality spaces. The team also managed the cleaning of the VIP areas, ensuring they were spotless ready for their arrival, including two royal family members.
It was all hands on deck for our team, with Operations Manager Lauren Kirby and Emma Dean, Senior Recruitment Consultant, managing the operation from 6 am to midnight every day.
Also supporting at the event with candidate registration and on-site check-ins were Laura Cranney, Branch Resourcer, Jade Bensley, Recruitment Coordinator, and Molly Ford, Recruitment Consultant.
