This month, the government launched Skills England, a new agency under the Department of Education aimed at addressing local skills shortages, improving access to training and optimising the use of the Apprenticeship Levy.

Proposed ban on unpaid internships
A ban on unpaid internships in the UK has been proposed by the government this month, aimed at ensuring fair compensation for work and to promote equal access to career development opportunities for interns.

Youth Experience Scheme proposal underway
Negotiations are underway for a ‘Youth Experience Scheme’ between the UK and EU, allowing people aged 18 to 30 to work in Europe for a limited time, with EU nationals receiving the same benefit. The initiative could provide significant career opportunities and address talent shortages in various sectors.
