Careers in Recruitment

Home > Careers in Recruitment
Are you curious about a career in recruitment? If you are we would love to hear from you but, naturally, the choice you make needs to match your expectations. So what are the pros and cons…

Ask most people in the sector and they will tell you recruitment gives them a buzz. You are at the cutting edge of commerce and you deal with a variety of clients with sometimes short deadlines. You need to understand people and putting people in their dream job definitely brings rewards.

Rewards… yes that also means money and recruitment is a fast growing sector where there are limited barriers to progression. You can learn sales and team management skills that will always stand you in good stead and you can earn excellent commission.

Warning… nothing comes without hard work in recruitment and, like every sector, there can be tough times. Recruitment, though, should be fun and often brings out the best in people. It’s a career we can certainly recommend and one where you can make life long friends.

At Berry Recruitment we recognise that our success is dependent on the quality of our people and locating individuals who share our enjoyment of recruitment. We are therefore constantly creating new career opportunities at all levels within our organisation. And, most importantly, we have created a culture where everyone has the opportunity to learn and succeed.

What do we look for? Experience in recruitment is sometimes helpful but the main attributes we seek are drive and a positive attitude. High performance levels are well rewarded at Berry and we provide excellent salaries plus generous commission and bonus schemes. However money is just part of the picture and we offer friendly and professional working environments where you can strengthen your skills amongst like minded individuals.

Our unique learning and development offering starts with a 13 week, on the job, coaching programme involving one to one mentoring as well as a full suite of central training courses. Then, as your experience grows, we provide a tailored sales and management development package delivered by our experienced and passionate in-house training team.
