Berry Recruitment is hiring! We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Production Team Leader to join our client's team in Berinsfield.


As a Production Team Leader, you will oversee the petrol and diesel mould prep and engineering processes, playing a vital role in optimizing workflow and ensuring high-quality output. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the day-to-day running of the area, mentoring staff, setting clear targets, and maintaining a safe working environment. This hands-on role requires a candidate with strong leadership skills, a commitment to excellence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.



Job Title: Production Team Leader


Location: Berinsfield


Hours: 37.5 per week (7:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday), 30 mins lunch


Salary: £40,000 per annum


Start date: ASAP



About the role of the Production Team Leader:



  • Oversee all aspects of petrol and diesel mould prep and engineering processes, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.

  • Mentor and lead a team to create a positive and effective working environment, setting clear daily targets to meet weekly production goals.

  • Organize the area to achieve efficient and productive workflow, maintaining tools and equipment in a safe and usable state.

  • Liaise with the Company’s Technical and Quality department to ensure constant improvement in documentation, process controls, and components.

  • Monitor productivity and seek continual improvement through coaching and mentoring of reporting staff.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly production facility, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety policies.

  • Manage team performance and absence in accordance with company policy, attending management and general meetings as required.


About you:



  • Essential: 5+ years of production/engineering experience

Applicants can have varied working backgrounds, including but not limited to:



  • Boat building: Experience in marine vessel construction, including fiberglass layup, gel coat application, and finishing.

  • Automotive: Experience in automotive bodywork repair and parts manufacturing, including tasks such as checking for indentations, reviewing the shell of a car, or conducting similar assessments on vehicles.

  • Formula 1: Experience in the high-performance automotive industry, with a focus on composite materials, aerodynamics, and precision manufacturing.

  • Composites laminating: Experience in composite materials manufacturing, including layup, curing, and finishing processes for aerospace, automotive, marine, or other industries.
