Berry recruitment are looking for experienced van drivers/Drivers mate in Hatfield.

Pay Rate: £13.40 - £15 per hour

Hours: Full Time, 40+ hours per week

Shift patterns: Monday to Sunday - AM/PM available

Full job description

Delivering furniture to homes across the South region, London, and the surrounding areas. Working to the schedule provided and communicating any difficulties to the Transport team throughout your day. Delivering a excellent standard of customer service, whilst also representing both the Client and Berry recruitment to a high standard. Great, inclusive working environment. Manual/heavy lifting required. Working as either a van driver or as a drivers mate to support a Driver.

Van driver/Drivers mate Requirements

• Driving licence required.


• No more than the maximum of 6 penalty points on the Driver’s License (No DD, DR or IN endorsements accepted).


• Home delivery experience preferred.


• Manual handling/heavy lifting.


• Excellent customer service.


• Driver support.

Van driver/Driver mates Responsibilities

• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Be flexible to work at least every other weekend.


• Maintain electronic logs to track routes and deliveries.


• Complete daily maintenance checks on delivery trucks and notify transport manager of any issues.


• Use route navigation.
