Urgent requirement for a Temporary Covid 19 Compliance Support Officer to support our client based in Central Oxford (Oxfordshire)

Role: Temporary Covid 19 Compliance Support Officer

Location: Oxfordshire

Salary: £11.41 - £12.35 per hour

Duration: ASAP – Until end of March 2021

The successful candidate will need to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

They will also need to be mobile and able to travel around Oxfordshire readily, mainly working in Cherwell district.

A new COVID Secure Team has been established in Oxfordshire. This team is a group of people who are working across the county to support businesses to introduce and maintain infection control measures, and to monitor compliance with legal controls and guidance. We are expanding this team and seeking to identify candidates who can quickly develop into these roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To visit businesses and public places to assess and monitor compliance with COVID-19 legal requirements and guidance.

  • To provide advice and support to businesses and event organisers to help them with their Covid-19 infection control measures and to comply with the legal requirements that apply to them.

  • To support enforcement activity, including the service of formal notices.

  • To attend and monitor activity at public events and in public places.

  • To liaise with other council staff and the Police to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to COVID compliance work across the county.

Candidates need to be able to travel easily around Oxfordshire and occasional evenings and weekend work will be required.
