Berry Recruitment are looking for a Sous Chef for one of our clients based in Wellingborough.


The Role


To assist the Executive Chef in providing a catering service as required by the club in line with daily service, visiting societies, functions and weddings and take responsibility in their absence. This will consist of table meals in the dining room and snacks for the bar areas where applicable.


Sous Chef Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the provision of kitchen service and fresh food of a quality acceptable to Members, Guests and Visitors within the guidelines provided by the Board of directors. This includes dealing with the planning and control of day-to-day catering at the Club as well as management and preparation of menus and catering for Functions for up to 160.

  • Assist in the effective management of all Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual and Agency kitchen staff, including their training to a suitable and effective level.

  • Assist in the effective administration of all food stocks, including stock procurement, maintenance of agreed stock levels, stock rotation, proper storage and minimising of wastage, within the guidelines provided by Club Management, as well as the requirements of Environmental Health and Food Hygiene legislation.

  • Assist in the maintenance of a working environment of the highest possible standards of hygiene and cleanliness and in compliance with relevant legislation.

  • Assist in the overall management of the food production facilities of the Golf Club



Pay is £25,000 per annum based on a 40 hour week.
