Salary: £28,000


Type: 9 month permanent contract


We’re seeking a Purchase and ledger clerk to join our finance team. If you have experience in finance and are ready to take on a crucial role in managing ledgers, we want to hear from you!


Key Responsibilities:


Ledger Management: Process purchase and subcontract ledgers across the group, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.


Invoice Processing: Handle weekly subcontractor invoices and provide cover for purchase ledger transactions.


Payment Processing: Prepare and raise BACS files for both purchase and subcontract ledger payments.


Support & Administration: Assist the finance team with administrative tasks and provide support to the payroll manager as needed.


Discrepancy Resolution: Work closely with the commercial team to address any discrepancies in subcontract ledger valuations.


What We’re Looking For:


Finance Experience: Prior experience in a finance environment, particularly in purchase or subcontract ledger management.


Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities with flexibility when needed.


Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate ledger processing.


Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues at all levels.


VAT Knowledge: Familiarity with subcontract ledger VAT is a plus.
