Berry Recruitment Darlington are in search of an experienced Office Manager to join a Client on a 6 month Contract, with a view to obtaining a Permanent position with the company.

Our Client is an exciting and thrilling establishment to work with, and they are at the forefront of both modern and historic railway engineering practices, seeking an Office Manager to come on board, to help steer and guide the Trust into the future.

This is no ordinary role, and if you have an interest in coming on board with a little in size, but big in heart firm, this is the role for you.

The Client is a Trust who are currently in the process of rebuilding their second Peppercorn A1 Locomotive. They have their first replica engine currently in operation for which they offer nationwide rail tours.

Your duties as the Office Manager will include but are not limited to;

  • Reception and Basic Administration

  • CRM

  • Covenanters’ and Supporters Care

  • Accounts and Month End

  • Payroll/Pensions and HR

  • Purchase Orders

  • Support Rail tour Booking Staff

  • Support Fundraising Staff

  • Support Event Booking Staff

Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, times and days of work are to be confirmed however some flexibility is required along with very occasional weekend work for things like events and conventions.

This Client is looking for a Candidate who has the ability to work with their own initiative and under their own guidance. A fast learner and someone who can easily adapt their skills.

Annual salary package is £24,000 per annum, paid weekly in arrears through Berry Recruitment for the 6 month term. The Client is also wanting to offer the successful Candidate a table for 4 dining ticket on board one of their rail tours with a value of £1000.
