Job Title: Labourer


Main Purpose: Join our dynamic team as a Labourer, where you’ll assist trades and Supervisors with various unskilled tasks, including loading and unloading materials. This role involves working Monday to Thursday from 07:45 to 16:45, and Friday to Sunday from 07:45 to 15:45, with one weekend in three as part of a rotating shift pattern. Protective footwear is required on the first day, and all other PPE will be provided. Enjoy 32 days of annual holiday.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist trades in completing their work.

  • Support Supervisors in yards and stores.

  • Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy.

  • Help fulfill contractual obligations in a non-technical capacity.

  • Manage and deliver materials, stores, and yards.


Relationships:



  • External: Members of the public, client operational staff, supply chain.

  • Internal: Other trades, Scheduling Co-ordinator, Administration.


Reporting to: Housing Services Team Leader


Person Requirements:


Qualifications:



  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.

  • Current UK driving license.


Skills:



  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Effective time management.

  • Literacy and numeracy.

  • Knowledge of personal health and safety, method statements, and risk assessments.


Experience:



  • Good understanding of building-related maintenance.

  • Relevant work experience.


Personal Profile:



  • Physically fit with sound hearing and vision.

  • Enthusiastic and punctual.

  • Conscientious and self-motivated.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.


Role Specific Requirement:



  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance and any other contract-specific requirements.
