We require a Kitchen/Catering Assistant to join our clients team in Oxford.


As the Kitchen/Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary team and maintaining impeccable cleanliness in the kitchen, staff canteen, and associated areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to hygiene will help deliver excellent service to all staff and visitors.


Salary: £12.49-£15.00 per hour


Location: Oxford


Hours: 8am – 2.30pm


Start date: ASAP



About the role:


As the Kitchen/Catering Assistant, your responsibilities will include:



  • Set up the kitchen ready for the day.

  • Help keep the kitchen clean during a busy shift.

  • Supporting the chefs to serve food to be proud of.

  • Assist with preparation & serving of food as during mealtimes.

  • Restock food from counters.

  • Setup and clean dining area and equipment for service.

  • To complete due diligence paperwork as required by the company: Food Safety, Health & Safety processes, and policies.


About you as the Kitchen/Catering Assistant:



  • Good level of physical fitness - not just because you’re on your feet all day, but also for unloading occasional deliveries

  • Ability to work alone with minimal instruction, be self-led and take initiative along with working as part of a larger team

  • Good time management skills – the kitchen gets busy, so keeping on top of routine tasks whilst being able to deal with ad-hoc extra duties is essential

  • Ability to communicate well across the team

  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and follow instruction
