Berry Recruitment are working with UKSBS (UK Shared Business Services) to find a Infrastructure Designer to join their team in Swindon.

UKSBS was established over 10 years ago by UK Research Councils as part of the drive for greater efficiency, providing HR & Payroll, Finance, Procurement and IT services to support the front line of UK research and innovation.

Role: Infrastructure Designer
Contracting Authority: UKSBS
Contract Length: 3 months, with possibility of extension

Pay Rate to Candidate: Up to £390 depending on experience

Job Role:

To implement the design and architecture of a new Windows 10 Group policy structure as well as administering and managing the Windows 10 group policies. You would be joining the application Engineering team to develop Windows 10, and build on the current group polices that are in place to work on those new group polices that will be released with each new Windows 10 feature update as well as new technologies that may be added in the updates such as Windows Hello. You will also ensure Incidents and Service Requests are resolved within agreed time scales set out by the service operating level agreement. Document all incident resolutions to ensure knowledge data base is up-to date. Develop, schedule and implement training. Provide technical support based on problem tickets raised.

You will have the following:

Group Policy Experience from creating and managing stance
Windows 10 Application experience – from an Engineer/group policy Engineer background would be ideal
Strong skills and knowledge around Windows 10, especially their policies. Understanding how Microsoft works with their 6 month feature updates
