Job Title: Head of Operations - Ecommerce Logistics
Location: Gosport

Position Overview: As the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising our logistics operations to ensure the highest level of service for our clients. You will be responsible for managing a team of operations managers, supervisors, and staff, as well as liaising with various internal departments to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's overall long term goals and objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
2. Team Leadership and Resourcing:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of operations managers, supervisors, and front-line staff whilst providing the team with clear roles and responsibilities.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
Responsible for all operational hires and management of the operational team.
Ensuring that we have the right balance of permanent and agency employees to serve all existing and incoming business efficiently and profitably.
Resource management and planning for peak and other busy periods.
3. Process Optimisation:
• Streamline and optimise end-to-end logistics processes, from order fulfilment to lastmile delivery.
• Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to improve operational efficiency.
4. Performance Monitoring and Financial Performance:
• Participating in monthly P&L reviews. Understanding the KPls and profitability of our products and customers. Using financials to hit profitability expectations for the business.
