Berry Recruitment Southampton are looking for a Head Chef to work in a Townhouse Restaurant based in Bighton, Alresford, SO24.


Role: Head Chef


Days: Wednesday - Sunday (Off Sunday Evenings, Monday and Tuesday)


Salary: £35,000 per annum


**Upon start date you will have around 4 weeks of shadowing the current Head Chef to get to know the kitchen and standards before starting your main role**


Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of food production and preparation in the restaurant kitchen
- Create and develop menus that align with the restaurant's culinary vision and concept
- Manage and lead a team of kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new culinary techniques


Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
