Full Time, internal home based role, with occasional in-person attendance for training and meetings at our Head Office in St Albans.

Description

We are looking for an engineer to help us continue to build and expand our set of internal applications. We have actively developed and published two iOS and one Android application and we are now in a position to expand our development team to increase the level of functionality in light of our aggressive future growth plans.

As a full-stack / back-end developer we intend to add more and more intelligence to our system to solve the supply/offer problems of the on demand economy.

You would be contributing to the following:

• Lead the back-end side of our development projects, liaising with our iOS/Android developers to transform our existing set of applications.


• Providing the best experience for our users so their engagement is increased


• Dealing with complex payment schemes and third party APIs such as payment processors and verification tools


• Researching and using the proper tools or technologies to build a solid stack that is efficient and future proof


• Automate our operational processes as much as possible so our software becomes more scalable


• Work on a huge roadmap and be proactive in designing new functionality that could help the business grow.

Requirements

We use a lot of Python, plus several libraries including Django & Django Rest frameworks, so experience with these technologies is a must have.

Our primary product is our REST API consumed by our mobile applications, but we also provide a web based version, so you should be comfortable with these architectures. Our front-end is in React, so experience with this stack is required.

We use modern web technologies deployed on Amazon Web Services and are constantly improving our IT processes (testing, reporting, performance, scaling, CI, automation).
