Berry Recruitment Darlington are recruiting for a Facilities Coordinator for our Client in the Gateshead area.

This is a new permanent role, within a company who featured in the North East Top 200 Largest Companies in 2021, and are continuing to grow!

The main duties of the role are to oversee all building related activities including site facilities, equipment and building infrastructure, ensuring that all facilities are safe and well maintained. This role will include reviewing service contracts with suppliers, planning and coordinating maintenance and improvement plans, and ensuring legal compliance for plant equipment.

Duties will include but are not limited to;

- Plan and coordinate all building projects, installations and refurbishments on site.

- Review and renew all engineering and maintenance service contracts.

- Organise repairs and/or inspections of site services and fire equipment.

- Supervise contractors on site, ensuring full health and safety compliance at all times.

- Own and manage the engineering training schedule.

This role will be based at the main manufacturing site in Gateshead. The Client has asked that Candidates have a significant amount of experience in Facilities Coordination, preferably in a factory setting. Experience in the below would be beneficial;

- Boilers and Steam Lines

- Gas Systems

- Compressor and Pneumatic Systems

- Fixed Platforms

- Air Conditioning Systems

The Client would like to speak to self motivated and tenacious individuals with a keen attention to detail, ability to build relationships, multitask and work in a fast paced environment.

The hours of work for this role are Monday to Thursday 7:00am until 3:45pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and Friday 7:00am – 11.30am.

The salary for this role is £40,000 per annum, with 2% of the annual salary as a Guaranteed Annual Service Bonus, plus an additional Company Bonus Structure of up to 5% dependant on company target achievement.

There is a pension scheme in place and the Client will match the employee contribution up to 6%. This role will receive 5 week annual leave plus bank holidays, and fabulous benefits including cycle to work scheme, Corporate Health Cash Plan and a company discount scheme.
