Berry Recruitment Southampton are looking for a Breakfast Chef to work at one of our industy leading hospitality clients based in Chilworth, Southampton.

Role: Breakfast Chef / CDP

Hours: Full Time or Part Time

Contract: Permanent

Pay: £11.00-£12.00 To Be Confirmed

You will be working in a Luxury Hotel based in the Chilworth area of Southampton, spanning across a 10 plus acre site with an exceptional Health Club and Spa facilities and events venues.

Your role will be delivering outstanding cuisine to guests for Breakfast/Lunch and Afternoon Teas.

Working as part of the team, you will have the ability to run a section and will support with daily kitchen activities, ensuring food quality and freshness, monitoring, ordering and stocking of your section.

Job Duties:

  • Food preparation on delegated section.

  • Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assurance

  • All food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards

  • Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed

Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have at least 1 years previous experience working in a busy professional kitchen in this role

  • Have a good understanding of all basic cooking techniques

  • Have the ability to deliver excellent standards and display a willingness to learn

  • Possess the desire to develop your skills as well as show creativity and passion in your work

  • Have a friendly and positive attitude

  • Be highly motivated, proactive and reliable

  • Be clean and tidy, conforming to all food and hygiene legislation

  • Be available to work 48 hours per week on a split shift rota including weekends, bank holidays and during busy holiday periods
