My client is a market leader in the recycling industry



Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



  • To assist in managing operations and to understand the material processes and resourcing required with support from the Site Manager & the MRF Manager/Consultant.




  • Ensure the operation is running as efficiently and productively as possible and identify opportunities for improvement across the site.




  • Responsible for producing quality fibres and polymers as directed and responsible for quality control of outbound loads -ready for re-processing with MRF operations.




  • With assistance, ensuring compliance of all operations in accordance with all permits, licences, insurance terms and conditions, Health & Safety regulations and other regulations applicable to such operations and to have shared responsibility for such compliance.




  • Lead, develop and motivate the team across the site and services in order to provide an effective and profitable operation based around trust and a positive attitude to performance and customer needs. Proactively lead change so the whole team understand the strategic priorities, resource issues and service standards and are able to apply them in their roles. In so doing you will ensure that:




  1. SMART objectives are in place for all Supervisory Staff and these are regularly reviewed and revised as appropriate, and at least on a six-monthly basis.

  2. Supervisors are rated following the annual appraisal of performance and given appropriate constructive feedback, initiating capability procedures when there is unsatisfactory performance.

  3. Personal development plans are agreed and implemented.




  • Ensure that the Group’s Health and Safety procedures, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) systems are integrated with organisational requirements and are complied with at all times in order to retain all relevant ISO certification.




  • Be aware of and follow the Company’s policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of Health and Safety, Customer Service, and equality and diversity.




  • Work towards taking ownership of the financial performance of the respective P&L’s for all business operations in your area of responsibility, to achieve budget targets.




  • Understand the key drivers to improving performance at the site. Review daily, weekly & monthly KPIs against target and discuss with the teams to ensure maximum performance




  • Be responsible for machinery and plant servicing and maintenance.

· COTC 4TSH Transfer Operations (Haz & Clinical) / Landfill (Inert)



· IOSH/NEBOSH


· Degree level qualification or equivalent
